I have worked closely with dozens of North Alabama families to facilitate their estate planning needs. I usually have a brief phone conversation with clients interested in wills or powers of attorney to learn more about their specific situation. Then I schedule a meeting to speak in person about their unique situation and within a week I often have a draft for review. A final meeting is necessary to execute the wills and powers of attorney. From beginning to end the entire process rarely takes more than a few weeks to complete. It is as easy as a few phone calls or emails and a couple of office visits!

I often work directly with families after the loss of a loved one, to probate wills, or administer estates in cases where there is no existing will. I work closely with the personal representative (executor/executrix) to see that the deceased’s wishes are carried out. I assist with ensuring that all family members understand and observe their rights and obligations pursuant to the will or law, and when necessary to dispute or negotiate claims filed against the estate. I have had great success in reducing or eliminating substantial credit card debt in situations where families feared there would be nothing remaining after the creditors were paid.
